Ministry of Education (MOE) is the main organizer for the QBO
QBO is divided into 4 rounds as follows:
Round 1: November 2020
350 students from all governmental and international schools from the secondary level set for an online multiple-choice test of 60 questions.
The top 25% of students from round 1 will be selected to participate in round 2 of the QBO.
Round 2: February 2021
In round 2, students will set for a written exam;The top 60 students from round 2 will be selected to participate in round 3 of the QBO.
Round 3: March 2021
In this stage, students will set for a practical exam that measures the IBO-required skills.The top 20 students from round 3 will be selected to participate in round 4 of the QBO.
Round 4: April 2021
In this stage, students will set for a theoretical test –of 10 true or false questions- that simulate the IBO test.

-All exams of QBO were prepared and marked by Educational supervisors in the MOE.
Students are asked to study at home the topics covered in the syllabus of IBO
- The training camp for two weeks will focus on the practical skills required for IBO practical test topics (plant biology, biochemistry and developmental physiology). The training will be held in Qatar University and Qatar sciences and technology school.
